Welcome to the website of BACK 9!
BACK 9 is a true vareity band. Our music covers everything from Motown, Beach, pop, Funk, Southern Rock and Country. It is this vareity of music that makes BACK 9 so popular. We can entertain a large diverse crowd because we play so many different styles of music. BACK 9 consists of 7 core players: 2 guitars, bass, keyboard, drums, saxophone, and lead singer. Sometimes we add a conga player to make 8 players. We want people to see us and feel relaxed. When people see us relaxed and having a good time, they typically will follow with their own fun! We travel approx. 4 to 5 hours in any direction from our home base of Spartanburg, SC. If you are looking for a great band to party with, please contact us. BACK 9 News and Events
On September 7, 2008, BACK 9 will have the privilege of participating in the Arizona Open Celebrity Golf party. This party raises money for Pendelton Place Children's Shelter, an organization that provides safety for abused children. BACK 9 will provide music at the beginning of the night and then the guests will be treated to music by Jack Blades (Night Ranger), Tommy Thayer (Kiss) and Danny Seraphine (Chicago and CTA). After a live auction, BACK 9 will be backing such artists as Ray Kennedy (Singer/Songwriter), Al Parris (Kool and the Gang), Billy Pierson (Country artist), Rick Serrate (Foreigner), Johnny Lee (Urban Cowboy...Looking for Love in all the wrong Places), and Clay "Hollywood" McGonigle (Songwriter). December 31, 2008 - You better get your party shoes ready to go! BACK 9 will be playing Wild Wing Cafe in Spartanburg, SC. It may seem early to start making plans for New Year's Eve but it will be here before you know it. We hope everyone can make it out to this show. If your football team is playing in a bowl game that night, you can bet Wild Wing's will have it on a tv screen. Where else can you watch your football team play and listen to some great music? As always, you better make reservations if you want a seat....I've been told you can't move in this place on New Year's Eve...it should be a blast! I put the phone number on our calendar page to make it a little easier to call them for information.
